EnviroFlex MLV is a flexible, high-density vinyl barrier designed to block sound transmission. Unlike foam or insulation, it adds mass to walls, ceilings, and floors - stopping airborne noise at the source. Boasting stand alone STC (Sound Transmission Class) ratings between 26 - 32, EnviroFlex Mass Loaded Vinyl can help boost STC ratings of assemblies to 45 to 50+. STC rating depends on the complete wall assembly.

Mass Loaded Vinyl is installed a variety of different ways, based on where it is being installed. Whether you are installing on a wall, ceiling, or in a vehicle, there are different methods to installing.
However, installation comes down to 4 main steps:
1. Measure your space and MLV
2. Cut MLV to the needed size
3. Securely fasten to the wall, ceiling, floor, or vehicle using recommended fasteners
4. Tape and seal seams of MLV

None! EnviroFlex MLV can be installed with standard tools and does not require any specialty equipment or tools. Generally the standard tools used include:
- Tape Measure
- T-Square
- Utility Knife
- Hammer / Drill
Generally, EnviroFlex Mass Loaded Vinyl is installed directly on the studs, and then the drywall is installed in front of the material. EnviroFlex MLV can be installed directly on top of the drywall and be effective, but will need to be finished to be visually appealing.
